The Indian Fantail pigeon is a breed of fancy pigeon. The Indian Fantail doves originated in India. These birds are well known for there beauty. Their fan shape tailed makes them differ from other pigeon breeds. They are bigger in size than English fantail pigeon.

These fantail birds are similar to all other fantails. The only chahracteristics that make them differ from other breeds is that their body color is similar to rock pigeons and have almost white tail. Syrian fan tailed doves are found in some parts of syria that is why they are named syrian fantail pigeons.

The Indian fantails are also known as garden doves. The style by which they walk is similar to garden walk. They have fur on their toes which makes them more beautiful. Their chest is moved forward and the head position is such that it is placed on the chest. When they walk they gets a jerk on their head.

The Indian fantail doves are also known as homing doves. People usually keep these pigeons because they make the beauty of their home. They do give eggs in similar pattern as other pigeons do. Usually gives birth to 2 or 3 baby doves at a time. These baby doves takes at-least 4 to 6 weeks to fly and leave their home.
